Nightlife in Gothenburg
There are a lot of bars in Göteborg and
you’ll quickly find your favourites. Some
people are happy to queue to get in to the
very latest bars on the Avenue. Göteborg’s
musical and cultural elite hang out around
Järntorget and Linnégatan.
In Göteborg the flashy clubs are on the
Avenue. Club life usually starts late, when
some of the bars clear out.

A popular haunt of artistes, actors and
artists, as they are left in peace at Klara.
Often crowded, but always a warm
atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and a
variety of beers.

Caleo
Caleo takes its inspiration from the
Mediterranean and is a bit cooler than the
other bars on the Avenue. Wonderful
seating along the walls, soft colours and a
nice atmosphere. Caleo is not only a good bar but also an equally good restaurant.

Lounge
The furnishings really live up to the name
and the restaurant has achieved the
perfect balance between fancy sofas and a
lively dance floor. Espensive, exclusive and
great fun.

Niva
A club with several dance floors on different floors which pulls in hordes
of people at weekends. The music is hit parade mixed with popular songs.

Nefertiti
A classic of the club scene which still pioneers jazz, black dance music, electronica
and reggae. The evening might kick off with jazz or blues and change direction
to house after midnight.
