Airport
International airport of Genova Sestri,
Cristoforo Colombo is about 6 km from the
center of Genova. The airport shuttle bus
runs every 30 minutes to Brignole station,
stopping at Piazza Fontane Marose, Piazza
du Ferrari and Via XX Settembre. The
journey takes around 30 minutes and costs
€3. Buy ticket on board - valid for the day
on all city buses.
First bus leaves the airport at 6.30, the
last at 23.20. From Stazione Brignole the
first bus leaves at 5.30, the last at 22.30.
A taxi from the airport to Brignole Station
will cost around €25.

   Local Transport
Walking is the only form of transport
possible in the historic centre of Genova –
the streets are too narrow for cars. The
bus system is extensive, a day pass costs
€3, €1 for a single ticket which is valid for 90 minutes. You can buy your tickets at
newsstands (chiosco).
Genova has a new subway system,
indicated by a red M. Currently with seven
stops. Automatic ticket machines in all the
stations, €1 valid for 90 minutes or €3 for
the day pass.		  
In addition to the funicolare, Genova also
has elevators for locals who live uphill.
There are a number of these around the
city, and the standard AMT tickets are
valid.

Taxi
Official taxis have a white and yellow
badge on their doors. You can expect to
pay around €1 per km. To phone a taxi call
