Okavango Vumbura

Vumbura is an excellent private concession area to the northern side of the Okavango Delta.

The area has a reputation for being one of the very best for game-viewing, with a wide range of both predator and prey species.

There are also excellent water areas, with extensive floodplains June to October and deepwater channels year round.

Little Vumbura Camp is the smaller and simpler of the two lodges and is also the wetter, with a good mix of wet and dry safari year round. The super-luxury Vumbura Plains Camp is in a much drier area and concentrates much more on land based safari.

Little Vumbura Camp

Little Vumbura is located on the excellent Vumbura Concession to the north of the Okavango Delta. This is a good wet and dry area which has a deserved reputation for superb breadth and depth of game.

The camp itself is the simpler of the two on this concession, but is still built to a very high standard and benefits from being much smaller, with just six tents.

Vumbura Plains Camp

Vumbura Plains Camp is located on the excellent Vumbura Concession to the north of the Okavango Delta. This is an excellent mainly dry safari area which has a deserved reputation for superb breadth and depth of game.

This super-luxury camp comprises two independent modules of seven rooms each and is unusually modern in design.

Vumbura Plains caters for well-heeled guests who are perhaps slightly more focussed on the quality of the accommodation than the safari experience itself
