Okavango Selinda South

The Selinda Spillway is a usually dry channel running between the Okavango and Linyanti floodplain areas. During periods of exceptional flood the channel can flow in either direction.

Southern Selinda impinges upon the northern fringes of the Okavango delta. Until recently this area was used for hunting, but the new concession holders have put a stop to that and opened it up instead to photographic safari.

Ketumetse Camp is a nice simple lodge, whilst Ketumetse Bivouac is a mobile camp. Both are usually used in set departure group safaris, but we are sometimes able to book them for private groups.

Ketumetse Bivouac

Ketumetse Bivouac is located in Selinda South concession area to the northwest of the Okavango Delta.

The dry game-viewing here is very good and the camp also offers very pleasant canoe safari during high flood May to September.

This is a very well serviced light mobile camp with just five dome tents, giving a really authentic and outdoorsy safari experience.

Unusually the camp is only available for exclusive use of private groups of 4 to 8 guests. If you can make up the numbers and we can get the availability, then this kind of private camp experience is difficult to beat.

Ketumetse Camp

Ketumetse Camp is located in Selinda South concession area to the northwest of the Okavango Delta.
