Public transport The city has a superb local transport system as the tram
takes you where you want to go. They are reliable and always on time. A
single ride is €1,50 and you have to press the ‘midi’ button
at the ticket machine. For a 24 hour ticket it is €3, and you will
have to press the ‘maxi’ button on the machine. All purchased
tickets need validating onboard the trams. The tourist office sells the
worthwhile Linz City Ticket for €20, which includes entry to 11 museums,
the zoo, botanical gardens and rides on Pöstlingbergsbahn as well.
Included in the ticket is a voucher for €10 discount in several restaurants
in Linz, so all together it’s a great deal.
